Divya Gupta and Karan Khosla co-founded the Goa Jazz Academy, each bringing unique skills and visions that have shaped the academy into a beacon of musical education.
Divya, with her background in entrepreneurship and insurance consulting, brings business acumen and operational expertise, crucial for the academy's structure and growth. Her ability to identify opportunities in musical education and to drive the academy's purpose and future growth has been pivotal.
Karan Khosla brings together a background in physics, executive leadership, and music. After moving fully into music education, he has performed at several of the world’s leading jazz and contemporary music festivals. His 2025 musical releases were widely praised by critics for their clarity, craft, and artistic focus. At the Goa Jazz Academy, Karan leads academics, technology, and marketing. His work is centred on building practical, performance-driven learning systems that make high-quality music education accessible and relevant for today’s musicians.
